Student Teaching

And so I have begun the last leg of my college career...STUDENT TEACHING!

(a silly picture of my baby boy!)

I started Jan. 3rd and will finish March 8th. Like I've said before, I'm in a 4th grade room with the BEST (no joke!) cooperating teacher (CT) EVER! Last week, I just observed and did some small group work with a few students. This week, I started to teach a new science unit on magnets! I was nervous but my CT said I did good! (GO ME!)

The 6 highest readers in the class, based on test scores, are in my reading group. We are reading The Cricket in Time Square and each student has a different job each night. These are also known as literacy circles!

I have my senior capstone every Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Not too excited about it, but it has to happen.

I also met with my supervisor for the quarter and she is very sweet. I do, however, have to make weekly schedules that are a weee-bit tedious.

So this week has been full of lesson planning, preparing and nerves.

NYE was amazing, awesome, fun and all of the above!
Yes, The Boy and I

Oh and before bed, it was my Grandma's 90th birthday this past weekend. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!
This is a picture of my Sister, my Alaskan Cousin, CA cousin, CA cousin's husband and I at the party!

Time for bed with this baby boy of mine. And yes, he sleeps in my bed sometimes---don't judge me!
