I Need BLOG Help Please...

Ok, so as you can see I'm trying to get a new look to 'Everything Me' and since I'm new to blogging, I don't really know what I'm doing.
 I got this new design from LeeLou Blogs and I love it. I just want it to continue throughout my header and right now it does not. :(
Can anyone help me with fixing this? I've tried other designs, just incase it was the design and they all do it. So I'm getting really frustrated trying to figure this out.

random blog day

i turn 22 in 13 days!! That's insane. I'm in my 3rd week of classes already and I'm doing good.
This past weekend I celebrated my birthday with my family. It was fun to see everyone. I got a new phone and so far i love it. other than the battery power isn't so good.

I also dyed my hair on Saturday!! This is huge for me. I have been blonde my whole life and now I'm a brunette! What do you think?

I needed a change. With my old blonde washed out hair, I faded out my skin and just made me look 'blah' i thought. Since I cant go tanning anymore, I wanted to embrace my pale-ness instead of try to hid it. So we'll see how long this last. I'm also going to cut my hair short when I start student teaching and maybe i'll go back to blonde then.

Well I gotta finish watching Teen Mom 2. I'm a reality TV junky, so don't make fun of me. Also, my sister is leaving for Spain in a couple weeks and I wish I was going. umph. Let's still hope I can still go over spring break. I got 8 more weeks. Not like i'm counting down or anything....

I'm still an Aquarius at heart

So, supposedly the horoscope signs all changed yesterday. They say astrologists have known this for over 2000 years, so I'm confused as to why it just came out yesterday. Well here it is. INTRODUCING the new sign; 'Ophiuchus'. So, if your birthday falls between November 30th - December 17th, you are now a Ophiuchus. This is where you should go if your interested to see what your 'new' characteristics are.

Now, I'm upset. My birthday does not fall between those days, but it still messes up my sign. Everything about me says Aquarius!!! So, naturally you would understand my disappointment when I read yesterday I am now a Capricorn. UGH! I guess I'll have to get use to it. But I just wanted to say thanks to whoever decided to come forward with this new 'sign' just yesterday, when for 22 years I thought I was an aquarius. 


I decided...I'm still an Aquarius at heart! :) 

school sucks and so do ROOMMATES

So this is my second week of classes and I'm already bombarded with homework, papers and quizzes. It's times like this where I'm thankful I'm organized and a 'to-do' list type of person. If i didn't have a planner, I would be lost.

I can deal with school work in a timely manner, but I cannot deal with a rude, inconsiderate roommate. I live with 2 other girls. Both lived with me on campus last year, so we decided to all room together this year. BAD IDEA! Warning! It's not a good idea to move in with someone you've only known for 4 months. Ranting time. On Friday night I invited my sister and her 3 girlfriends to come to the city and sleep over. My roommates both knew I was having them sleepover. The girls didn't mind on sleeping on the couches we had. So we went out for dinner and ice cream (yes, ice cream in the winter is the best time to have ice cream) and came home to just sit and watch TV. My one roommate, KG, joined us after work. My other roommate, KP, wasn't home, so I assumed she was out. (Side note: Before we went out to dinner, KP texted me from her room asking if one of my sister's friends could let her borrow their fake ID's. I told her I'd let her know even though I was against it because she had previously gotten 3 id's taken away from her)

Anyways, my sister's two out of three friends went home at midnight. So me, my sister and her best friend all go to sleep. My sister slept in my bed and her best friend slept on the futon in the living room, which is all a big open space with the kitchen. I get abruptly awakened at 2:45 AM! to the sound of my roommate, KP, and her two girlfriends. They were so loud, I only assumed they had been drinking. I let it slide for 10 minutes, thinking they would go into her OWN room and shut the door so my sister's best friend could sleep (which she is clearly visible on the futon). But I was WAY wrong! I texted my sister's friend and told her to come into my room and sleep in here with my sister and I. At about 3:30 my other roommate, KG, went out and asked them to be quiet. They said "ok," snickered and just kept on talking. She then texted them about an HOUR and a HALF later asking them once again to go into KP room or to talk a lot quieter. They finally did at about 4:45 AM! I was furious. The next morning we got up to go have breakfast with My Dad. I was so pissed at KP, I made it a point to be extra loud in the morning, because I knew we were waking up earlier than KP and her friends were. I'm not a confrontational person, so this was a difficult situation for me. I also made it a point to talk to her when I got home, but she was not. When she did get home she did not say ONE word to me. So I haven't talked to her since Friday and I want some advice on what to do.

I don't like living with someone who I'm at ends with nonetheless not talking to. What would you do in this situation? I want it to make it a point that I'm mad at her and that what she did on Friday was so disrespectful and rude, but how? Any advice?

I need a vacation

So tomorrow is the last day of classes for the week for me, and let me tell you...I'm already wanting spring break. So this looks so good to me right about now.

Yesterday, I had a doctor's appointment and my Dad came with me incase I needed to have a small day surgery procedure. Thankfully, everything looked great and needed no procedure. Afterwards, my Dad and I went out to dinner and we were talking about going to Spain over spring break! My younger sister is going to Spain for a whole semester to study spanish...that's one of her majors. She leaves in at the end of January and so we could go visit her on my spring break. I was so excited. If we decide to do that, it will give me motivation to get through this tough quarter. 

Has anyone ever been to Spain? If I go, are there any places or restaurants I MUST see?

AND...I can cross off 'traveling outside the United States' on my 2011 bucket list. It's going to be my mission to go SOMEWHERE over spring break. I'm hoping Spain OR Vegas.

Classes Start tomorrow...what?

I can't believe my classes start tomorrow. I've been on break for 7 weeks and it definitely did not feel like it.  On the bright side I turn the BIG 22 in 29 days. That's crazy!!

I also just realized this is the last FULL year of academic classes I will take at DePaul. I could not be any happier!! This time next year I will be freaking out about student teaching in an actually classroom. That's crazy talk. Hopefully, I'll feel prepared and more importantly excited about it. I really have enjoyed DePaul so far. The School of Education has been spectacular with me and my transfer credits and what not.

This classroom looks so fun!

I'm already starting to picture my ideal classroom, how I want the desks, the reading corner...oh-my-gosh, I can go on forever. I just get thinking about my own space, my own classROOM and get so excited. I am scared, how ever, that it's going to be tough finding a teaching job in the areas I want. Teaching job openings these day's are hard to find; especially, in Illinois. Jokingly, when my Dad asked what I wanted for Christmas this year I said, "To have a secure and permanent teaching job when I'm done student teaching!" He laughed, but it is really what I want. Hopefully, next Christmas something good will come for me and my teaching career.

I was extremely excited when I got a gift-card to LakeShore Learning Center from The Boy. I thought, 'Ohhhh the things I can buy with this!'

Well, I'm off to finish watching the Bears and Colts. And hopefully, finish organizing my folders, notebooks and binders before class starts at 8 am. AHHHH!!!

Anyone have any advice for how to get to sleep early when I've stayed up past midnight AND slept til 11:30 AM the past two mornings?!?!?

Bucket List 2011

Happy New Years Everyone!!

I had a great time last night with my friends and boy. Usually on New Years Day I say, "I'm so glad 2009 is over. I can't wait for a 2010!" But to me 2010 was a very good year for me. I just hope 2011 is just as good and even better!

I don't like making New Year's resolutions, especially when they're unrealistic. So I decided to make a 2011 Bucket List instead.

1. To finish off college with no C's.
2. To get a job over the summer
3. Travel outside the United States
4. Go to Vegas
5. To student teach at a school (I like) in the NW suburbs
6. To stay true to who I am
7. Visit my Grandpa again in Ohio
8. Go on a Cruise
9. Get a new phone
10. And hopefully spend another holiday season with the boy :)
11. To be more confrontational when it's appropriate

Well see if any of these actually happen. I hope so!!
